The FBI is now offering a reward of up to $50,000 for any information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of that suspected shooter who gunned down Thompson outside his Manhattan hotel early Wednesday morning.
The NYPD is also offering an up to $10,000 reward.
Up until this point, investigators were able to recover a backpack in Central Park they believe belonged to the suspect.
Investigators also recovered shell casings emblazone with the words "defend," "deny" and "depose." They also said video surveillance caught the suspect entering a bus terminal but not leaving.
The motive behind the shooting is still unknown.
