A Westwood, New Jersey resident has pleaded guilty in Rockland County Court to killing his two aunts in Spring Valley.

Alan Abad, also known as Alina Abad, entered the plea March 24 to first‑degree murder and two counts of second‑degree murder before Judge Kevin F. Russo.

Abad is scheduled to be sentenced June 22 and faces 25 years to life in state prison. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II said his office recommended a maximum sentence of life without parole.

Prosecutors said the killings happened Feb. 15, 2025, at the victims’ home on Gesner Drive. They said Abad caused deadly blunt‑force trauma to both Evelyn Aguilar Agustin and Anabelly Aguilar.

Walsh called the murders brutal and senseless and offered condolences to the victims’ family.
