The new superintendent of the New Rochelle Board of Education has officially been approved for a three-year contract.
Dr. Corey Reynolds will replace Jonathan Raymond, who will be leaving at the end of the school year because of family considerations.
Board officials say they feel Reynolds will bring stability and continuity as he continues the progress made under the leadership of Raymond.
Reynolds was a teacher, principal and administrator in Westchester County school districts prior to this role.
Reynolds is currently the assistant superintendent for human resources and chief human resources officer for the district.
Officials say Reynolds will continue his human resources responsibilities through the end of the year and being a transfer of knowledge with Raymond.
