New Rochelle police are warning kids about guns after a weapon was found near an elementary school playground earlier this week.
Police posted on Facebook that children who find a gun should get an adult and tell them where it is - and not to touch it - even if it looks like a toy.
A parent sent News 12 photos Tuesday showing how close kids were to a gun while at recess at Webster Elementary School.
A letter from the principal said students couldn't get to it because it was on the other side of the fence. Police were called in to investigate.
There is still no word on how that gun ended up there.
