New Windsor man charged after allegedly making plans to meet underage teen for sex

A New Windsor man is charged with attempted rape for allegedly planning to meet with a 13-year-old girl who was really a person from an online anti-predator group.

City of Middletown police say Talon Taylor, 30, agreed to meet the person he thought was a child for sex June 28.

Police were notified, and he was charged July 25 after a police investigation.

Taylor’s attorney, Michael Sussman, tells News 12 that his client was “trapped” and that his office is working with prosecutors on a resolution.

Taylor is out on $350 bail and due back in Middletown court Feb. 23.
