The New York Archdiocese held its annual Eddy Awards at Saint Joseph's Seminary on Friday.
The event is held to honor Catholic elementary and high school student broadcasters. Those in attendance say it's a way to celebrate the students while coming together over faith.
"Gathering all the students together to have the experience of being with professional journalists and with Monsignor Jim Vlaun in the Catholic Faith Network, we're really honored to be here," says Michael J. Deegan, superintendent of schools in Archdiocese of New York.
News 12’s Lisa LaRocca hosted this year's ceremony.
