Hopeful cannabis operators from across the Hudson Valley and the state are heading to Albany this week to take part in a first-in-its-kind summit.
The state recently approved an additional 50 dispensary licenses, bringing the number of legal owners to 215.
News 12 has reported that some shops across the tri-state have already started selling marijuana without going through the regulatory process. That issue, and others, will be addressed at the New York Cannabis Insider Summit on Thursday.
The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza (Desmond Hotel) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. An interactive workshop throughout the day will focus on airing grievances from every part of the industry, and then proposing and finding solutions.
