New York City ranks No. 2 in survey of best cities for country music fans
Looking for some country music? You don't have to travel far.
A survey from Lawnstarter ranked New York City as the No. 2 city for country music fans.
But don't head to the Garden State if you want to hear some country - Newark and Paterson were listed as two of the five worst spots.
Coming in at No. 1 for best cities for country music fans is Nashville, Tennessee.  Brownsville, Texas, was ranked as the worst city.
The survey compared over 180 of the biggest cities based on eight key factors, including the number of country music concerts, access to performance venues and the affordability of concert tickets.
It says it also gauged local interest in the genre based on Google search data, the number of country music stations and even the existence of country music museums.
