The Newburgh Board
of Education voted to suspend a top district official with pay while it
continues its misconduct investigation.
The decision was made in a meeting Friday after three hours of
discussion behind closed doors.
School officials
remain tight-lipped about the allegations and who has been suspended but a
source tells News 12 it has to do with the district's policy surrounding
discrimination.
News 12 reached
out to the Newburgh school district, but it said it doesn't comment on
personnel matters.
The next board
meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.
