The City of Newburgh is welcoming a new police chief and a senior advisor today.             

Arnold "Butch" Amthor will take over command of the police department which has been without a chief since April.

And as senior advisor, Robert McLymore will act as a liaison between the community and city government.

The two will work hand-in-hand starting August 1.
