Friends and family are calling the mysterious death of a Newburgh man murder.

Police recovered 19-year-old Robin Rivera?s body in a wooded area off Deyo Place in Newburgh Wednesday. He was reported missing last Friday. Rivera was stabbed in an altercation with two men last month. His family felt his disappearance was connected to that attack. Now they believe he was murdered.

Police are not commenting on the case. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Newburgh City Police Department at 845-561-3131.
