Nice spring weather today ahead of rain chances toward the weekend

While today is overall nice, there is once again an elevated risk of fire spread due to breezy conditions and low humidity. Please avoid open flame and dispose of cigarettes and matches safely.

If you enjoy sunshine and temperatures in the low 70s, this day is for you! It will still be a bit breezy with a northwest wind around 10 to 20 mph with gusts near 25 mph.
That said, tree pollen counts remain off the charts high thanks mostly to maple tree pollen. On top of that, it is another day with a UV index of an eight which is very high. Sunburn times can be as little as 15 to 20 minutes if you do not use sunscreen.
Tomorrow will be nice, but with more clouds around and there can be a quick light rain shower in the evening.
Friday and Saturday will be our next best rain chances. Friday is not a washout! It will be warm and humid with a mix of clouds and some sun. That said, a few thunderstorms will develop and move through after around 1 p.m.
Saturday has continued to trend wetter. I would plan on it being rainy for much of the day.
While there is a small chance that showers could linger into part of Sunday, right now we expect a partly sunny and mainly dry day with highs in the 60s.
