(AP) - A New York prosecutor says a man from NewJersey has been indicted on charges that he trapped a 7-year-oldgirl in a movie-theater bathroom and sexually abused her.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe says Elio Pintado of Summit, N.J., was charged with sexual abuse,unlawful imprisonment and endangering a child.
The district attorney said Thursday that Pintado is seen onsurveillance video Jan. 1 leaving the bathroom in the PalisadesCenter mall in West Nyack just before the girl leaves.
The 36-year-old Pintado is in custody in Union County, N.J.,accused of trying to lure a girl into a car.
Neither the district attorney's office nor the Union Countycourt had a record of a defense attorney.
