A North Carolina man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for a fatal shooting in Rockland County.
It happened in May 2020. Authorities say 35-year-old Jason Jabouin fatally shot Ryan Franklin, of West Haverstraw, on Midland Avenue in Nyack in broad daylight.
It followed a confrontation between the two men. The exact details of the incident have not been made public.
Jabouin was arrested a few days later in Maryland. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter last May.
