The North Castle Police Department says it is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Armonk Monday afternoon.
Police say they received a call around 12:30 p.m. about a 78-year-old resident of 14 Hallock Place in need of medical assistance.
They say the woman was treated and was leaving by ambulance when police encountered a 38-year-old man who was also in the house.
Police say the man had two outstanding arrest warrants from the jurisdiction, and that the man attacked one of the officers with a knife during their efforts to detain and arrest him.
The second officer fired two shots and struck the suspect.
All three were taken to the hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
