A northern Westchester mother is on a mission to help teenagers "jump start" their own personal branding muscle, after surviving her daughter's college admission journey.
It was during that process that Stacey Ross Cohen noticed the tremendous hurdles that students face today to get into college - from razor-sharp competition to social media etiquette.
The veteran marketer decided to take action in the form of a book.
"Brand Up: The Ultimate Playbook for College & Career Success in the Digital World" is a modern playbook to equip teens with strategies, tools and personal branding techniques that CEOs and entrepreneurs rely on.
"Seventy-five percent of admissions officers are now looking at applicant's social media, what teens post matters now more than ever.”
Ross's book is already getting noticed by some big names in the industry and was recently endorsed by Barbara Corcoran from "Shark Tank."
