A report released by the New York City Department of Health says that the number of flu-like symptoms reported by Bronx residents is higher then the national average.
Experts say it is not too late to prevent coming down with the flu. Officials say that flu shots are still available in the borough.
Bronx residents can get a free flu shot on Wednesday January 18 . The City Island library, located at 3-20 City Island Avenue, will host a clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations are required. More information can be found by calling 718-822-2049.
