The New York Attorney General Letitia James is calling on the FDA to address the potential dangers of popular asthma and allergy medication Singulair.
In a letter to the FDA commissioner, James wrote the drug has been linked to harmful behavioral and mental health issues among children.
Multiple parents have reported their children having aggressive behavior, intense nightmares and depression while using the drug.
Some even had suicidal thoughts or committed suicide, James wrote in the letter.
The FDA issued a black box warning for Singulair in March 2020 for the same reasons.
