A New York man has been arrested after entering an apartment without permission.
Alexander Mendez was found sleeping inside a residence and fled through a window toward Mill Street when confronted, according to Greenwich police.
The resident tried to stop Mendez but failed, officers said. Police detained Mendez nearby, matching the resident’s description, authorities noted.
Mendez admitted he entered to seek shelter from rain, police stated. The resident confirmed Mendez as the intruder, according to authorities.
His bond was set at $2,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court at a later date.
