A Shell gas station in central Nyack was robbed early Wednesday morning for the second time in four days.
The heists happened at the gas station located on the corner of Route 59 and Waldron Avenue. In both instances, the suspect took off with the cash register.
A surveillance video of the Wednesday robbery shows the gas station clerk jumping over the counter and fleeing just as the suspect came around, ripped the register out of the wall and took off with $400 inside.
A similar incident happened Friday at 2 a.m., when a clerk was slashed on the arm in the course of the robbery.
?He picked up the register and kept banging it on the counter to open it and finally in frustration he took a knife out, cut the line and walked out with it under his arm,? says Jimmy Parks, a clerk at the Shell station.
The suspect is described as male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. Many believe the same person is responsible for both robberies.
The gas station clerks hope the robber will soon end up behind bars.
?We would prefer to just have a nice night and not have these guys coming in and taking our money away,? Parks says.
The clerk who was slashed on the arm in Friday?s robbery is recovering from his injury, but he decided to quit his job.
