Four days after heavy rains soaked Rockland County, residents and businesses in Nyack are still trying to clean up.
The rains flooded some streets and buildings with up to five feet of water.
The Nyack Riverspace building is covered in a thick coating of mud, which destroyed most things inside. Officials say they pumped out a half-million gallons of water from the building alone.
The Nyack Hospital kitchen is still out of commission due to the flooding, forcing the hospital to bring in meals for patients.
Nyack officials estimate it will take $250,000 to clean up the mess. County officials say it will take $2.4 million for cleanup across the county.
