A woman was shot twice by a man in the South Bronx on Tuesday evening, according to the NYPD.
Officials say that the shooting took place just before 4 p.m. in the vicinity of 180 Brook Avenue in the Mill Brook Extension Houses.
According to the NYPD, a 43-year-old woman was shot once in the face and once in the back by a male suspect. The shooter fled on foot in an unknown direction and was wearing black and blue sneakers.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim is in critical but stable condition.
