Officials: 4 charged after police pursuit in stolen car

It began Tuesday around 6 p.m. when county police were searching for a stolen car. The car was later located in Bedford.

Westchester County police say four Bronx residents have been charged after they fled from police in a stolen car.
It began Tuesday around 6 p.m. when county police were searching for a stolen car. The car was later located in Bedford.
Police followed the car onto the Saw Mill Parkway and attempted to stop it in New Castle.
The chase continued into Pleasantville where the driver was involved in a minor accident.
The suspects continued to flee on foot.
Three of the suspects were located hiding in a backyard on Sarles Lane, and a fourth was taken into custody on Wheeler Avenue.
The suspects have all been charged with criminal possession of stolen property.
They were released for a court appearance next month.

Army Corporal Marcello Scrudato, of Fishkill, died in the accident last Saturday in Sanford, North Carolina, near the Fort Bragg Army Base where he was stationed.
Scrudato, a native of Mount Kisco, enlisted in the Army in 2017.
He is survived by his parents and twin sister.
A Mass with military honors will take place at Saint Mary, Mother of the Church, in Fishkill on Friday at 12 p.m.
