A fire destroyed an Ossining home Monday night.
Officials say the fire started at around 8 p.m. on Old Albany Post Road.
They say firefighters had difficulty getting to the flames since the home sits at the bottom of a steep slope off of a winding dirt road.
The Ossining Fire Chief says additional fire departments responded to bring in more water because there were no hydrants on the road.
He says more than 75 firefighters were on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
