During National Nursing Home Week, health officials are urging Bronx seniors to select a home that?s right for them. When choosing a home, experts say seniors should make sure the home meets their medical needs. They should also ask about meal options and make sure the facility provides a fun and comfortable environment for residents. According to the State Health Facilities Association, more than 300,000 people in the Bronx and the city reside in a long-term care facility.
