Officials tweak airport name to boost travel into NY Stewart Int'l Airport

A Hudson Valley airport now has a new name as it seeks to attract travelers and airlines post pandemic.
Stewart International Airport in New Windsor is now New York Stewart International Airport.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced new initiatives this week to increase the airport's international travel – including a state-of-the-art customs and border station.
Port Authority representatives say they're also offering incentives for new airlines to boost domestic travel to the Hudson Valley.
American Airlines and Allegiant Air now have expanded service from New York Stewart with flights to Myrtle Beach, Florida and other popular destination locations along the East Coast.
