Ohio man charged in Dutchess County road rage shooting

Police were notified of the shots fired incident by a 911 call for help.

An Ohio man faces charges in Dutchess County after allegedly firing an illegal handgun at a vehicle in a road rage incident.
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon on Dutchess Turnpike near Degarmo Road, according to Town of Poughkeepsie police. Authorities say Joseph Prigozen, 49, intentionally shot at a car and caused damage to the vehicle.
Police were notified of the shots fired incident by a 911 call for help.
Prigozen is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. He was arraigned in Town of Poughkeepsie Court and ordered to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
