Con Edison customers left in the dark for more than 10 hours are angry Wednesday over the amount of time it took to have their power restored.
More than 40 Olinville residents on E. 195th Street lost power Tuesday night and say after numerous calls to Con Ed and 311, they were left without answers. Con Ed says the power went out because of an equipment problem. A representative says Con Edison was slow to respond because cars had to be moved off the street before workers could address the problem.
Still, residents insist it is not the first time Con Ed has been slow to fix a problem. The residents say they plan to follow up on the matter to see what can be done to get things done faster.
