Police are investigating a double shooting in Soundview that left one man dead Thursday.

Authorities say two men were shot in the hallway of a Noble Avenue house before 3 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found one victim dead with a gunshot wound to his head. The other man, who was shot in the chest, was transported to Jacobi Medical Center.

News 12 The Bronx has learned the men were doing repair work at the house.

The stepdaughter of the man who died was emotionally distraught when she arrived at the scene. She said she had just spoken to the victim.
