Prom season is making a big return this Spring in Westchester.
County officials getting ready to kick off their annual Operation Prom this week at the County Center after a three-year pause brought on by COVID-19 lockdown and storm damage.
Tuxedos and prom dresses will be available this Friday through Sunday for free or at low-cost. "This is a great opportunity for those high school seniors to be engaged and involved in the prom season for free and low-cost dresses and tuxedos. To make them look great for which is a one-time event in their life: the prom," says Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins.
The county is also providing free Bee-Line bus service to the county center for all students participating in Operation Prom. Students just need to show their ID and mention operation prom to the bus driver.
