An Optimum contest granted valued community members a weekend trip to Miami and a chance to meet Derek Jeter.

"I was scrolling through Instagram one day and I saw a contest that Optimum was running about the GOAT and the greatest of all time and it said are you the GOAT in your community?" Bobby Harris said.

Harris holds a charity golf outing to support the local food pantry and local seniors. Another winner, Joanne Ottaviano, started a food pantry and organizes free concerts in the summer for community members to connect.

"I know I work really hard for my community...I didn't think I would win," Ottaviano said.

Seven weeks after they applied, both found out they were among 10 people in the country to win an all-expense paid trip to Miami for the weekend and a chance to meet Derek Jeter.

"It’s something I’ll never forget," Harris said.

The winners also won $1,000 to go to their charity of choice. Harris chose Feeding Westchester, and Ottaviano chose SNARR Northeast.

"To be noticed for this gives me a little push to keep going on," Ottaviano said.
