A new policy at Orange County hospitals will now require visitors to show proof of vaccination.
A representative for Garnet Health says the policy is due to the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the community.
It is in effect at Garnet in Wallkill, Montefiore St. Luke’s in Newburgh, Bon Secours in Port Jervis and St. Anthony’s in Warwick.
Exceptions include end-of-life visitation and pediatric patients, as well as obstetric patients and patients with special needs.
