A longtime public servant passed away this weekend after serving Orange County for the past 12 years.
Republican Legislator M. William Lahey died Saturday night at his home at the age of 70. Lahey's long public service career includes stints on the Newburgh Board of Education and the New Windsor town council.
Lahey is survived by his wife and two sons. Services are being held Tuesday followed by a funeral Mass on Wednesday.
