An Orange County man is dead after a freak gardening accident at a state-run psychiatric hospital.
George Grumbach, 55, of Chester was killed while planting trees along the entrance to the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center in Goshen.
Police say Grumbach got out of his truck to plant something and the vehicle rolled backward. It then pinned him between a tire and a tree.
Grumbach was rushed to Orange Regional Medical Center, where he died.
