A well-known police officer in Orange County has passed away from complications from COVID-19.

A well-known police officer in Orange County has passed away from complications from COVID-19.
According to his family, Christopher Cockburn, a 59-year-old police officer with the village of Florida, died on Tuesday after being hospitalized with the virus since late August.
The Goshen man was also a retired sergeant in Warwick and was the first D.A.R.E. officer there.
Cockburn is survived by his wife and their three adult children.
