Actor Jansen Panettiere, a Palisades native, has passed away at the age of 28.
He got his start as a child actor in the early 2000s alongside his sister, Hayden Panettiere, best known for her roles on "Heroes" and "Nashville."
Jansen is well known for his voiceover work in "Ice Age: The Meltdown" and the Nickelodeon television show, "The X's."

Orangetown police say they responded to a call about an unresponsive male on Feb. 19.
They say CPR was performed, but he was pronounced dead just after 5 p.m. Officials say there were no obvious signs of trauma.
Police say a friend of Panettiere's initially went into his apartment after not showing up for a business meeting and noticed him sitting upright in a chair and unresponsive - and called 911.
Officials also spoke with Panettiere's father who said he spoke to his son the evening before and that he sounded OK.
The cause of his death has not been released yet.
