Parade float catches fire on Saw Mill River Parkway

The float went up in flames just before 7 p.m. Sunday in Pleasantville, disrupting traffic in the southbound lanes between Exit 29 for Grant Street and the Manville Road overpass.

Traffic has returned to normal on the Saw Mill River Parkway following a parade float caught fire last night.
The float went up in flames just before 7 p.m. Sunday in Pleasantville, disrupting traffic in the southbound lanes between Exit 29 for Grant Street and the Manville Road overpass.
County police and Pleasantville fire crews swiftly responded to the scene.
The fire is currently under investigation.
