Parents celebrated the installation of speed bumps and school safety signs at a dangerous intersection in Morrisania.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) put up several signs and two speed bumps on a part of Findlay Avenue. The Parents Action Committee held a block party to mark the event. The group says since 2001, 289 children have been hit there.
Parents say their next goal is to convince the DOT to reduce the speed limit to 15 miles per hour around all Bronx schools.
