A car crashed into a pedestrian on Dolson Avenue in Middletown Tuesday night.

It happened shortly before 9 p.m. Video shows a white Mazda SUV on the roadside with a shattered windshield and mangled hood.

Police said the victim was rushed to Garnet Health Medical Center in serious condition.

State and Middletown police worked the scene for nearly two hours. Traffic was detoured, but the road has since reopened.

No details were given on the driver's condition or possible charges.
