Black History Month celebrations are underway in Peekskill!

The school district opened Peekskill Middle School to host fun activities for families this weekend.

The event included boxing, yoga, music, arts and crafts, and much more. "We start off with a breakfast in the morning so we eat as a community. And we're so excited this month we're celebrating Black History as a community, and so there's great support from our NAACP and other organizations that come out and we have over 60 partners that make this happen," says Peekskill Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Mauricio.

The event was free for all families.
