Somers firefighters rescued a person trapped inside a vehicle after a rollover crash on Thursday night.

Officials say they responded to the scene on Route 118 around 8:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they found three cars involved in the accident.

Crews worked to stabilize the vehicle containing the trapped occupant and extricate them. They were then taken to a nearby hospital.

The road was closed for around an hour following the accident.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
