Pet food brand recalls more than 600 bags of raw dog food over salmonella risk
The recalled dog food was distributed in New Jersey and 10 other states and sold online directly to consumers.

Oma’s Pride is recalling 639 bags of frozen raw dog food distributed in New Jersey, New York and nine other states because of possible salmonella contamination.
The recall involves 6-pound bags of Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe with lot number BB012729. The affected product was manufactured Jan. 27, 2026, and has a best-by date of Jan. 27, 2029.
The dog food was distributed to retail and wholesale accounts in New York, New Jersey, Arizona, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Virginia. It was also sold online and shipped frozen directly to consumers.
The 6-pound bags contain 12 individually wrapped, 8-ounce portions. No other Oma’s Pride products, sizes or lots are included in the recall.
Salmonella can cause illness in pets that eat contaminated food and in people who handle it or surfaces exposed to it. Symptoms in people can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Pets may experience lethargy, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, decreased appetite and abdominal pain.
Consumers should stop feeding the recalled product to their pets and safely dispose of it. The company also recommends washing and sanitizing pet food bowls, storage containers and other items that may have come into contact with the food.
Consumers can contact Oma’s Pride, of Avon, Connecticut, for a refund.
