There is promising new data about Pfizer's vaccine booster shot.
The Pearl River-based company says it plans to apply for emergency use authorization for a third shot soon.
Researchers say a booster shot 6 to 12 months after full vaccination is likely to provide the highest level of protection - especially against the delta variant.
Studies show antibody levels in those 18 to 55 with a booster shot are five times higher, and 11 times higher in seniors 65 to 85 years old.
