A pharmacy in Dutchess County was burglarized twice in the same day, with both incidents caught on camera.

The break-ins happened in November at Total Care Pharmacy in Poughquag.

39-year-old Ryan Gabriel was arraigned on felony charges connected to the case.

He is accused of breaking into the pharmacy and stealing more than a thousand pills, the district attorney said.

He was arrested a short time later, released, then went back to break into the pharmacy again later that same day, the district attorney said.

Under state bail laws, suspects charged with non-violent offenses cannot be held in jail.

The pharmacy owner is now paying for more staff so no one works alone in the shop.
