Piermont Fire Department makes two water rescues during height of powerful storms

Members of the Piermont Fire Department Dive and rescue team were among those making entry into swift water to rescue an adult male trapped in his home from rushing flood water.

Hudson Valley first responders had to make multiple water rescues amid reports of people trapped in their houses because of rushing floodwaters on Sunday.
Members of the Piermont Fire Department Dive and rescue team were among those making entry into swift water to rescue an adult male trapped in his home from rushing flood water.
Officials say another a trapped family and a female in a wheelchair were also rescued from the floodwaters in the park across the street.
