One person is dead and two others are hospitalized after two overnight shootings in Yonkers.

Police says two people, a man and a woman, were sent to an area hospital after being shot at Grant Park just after midnight. One of those two victims died at the hospital. The second person remains in stable condition.

A second shooting happened just blocks away at the intersection of Warburton Avenue and Point Street, according to detectives. They say a man was shot several times but is now in stable condition at the hospital.

Grant Park and the roads around it were closed for much of the day as investigators continued to collect evidence.

Police have not yet confirmed much else about the victims or potential suspects and it’s not yet clear if the shootings were related.
