Clarkstown police say one person was killed and four were injured in a car crash in West Nyack Sunday.

Authorities say the person was thrown from their vehicle before being found underneath it by rescuers.

Two people are in critical condition and two others suffered minor injuries. There is no word if they were in the vehicle at the time or were pedestrians.

The cause of the crash is not clear.
