Police: 13 arrested, 17 guns seized in Orange County weapons, drug bust

State police say the investigation targeted a group involved in firearms and drug trafficking.

A major drug and weapons bust played out in Orange County.
State police say the investigation targeted a group involved in firearms and drug trafficking.
Undercover officers infiltrated the group, according to authorities.
The 13 people arrested are facing multiple drug and weapons charges. A total of 17 guns were found, officials say.
State police, as well as Newburgh and New Windsor police, played a role in the bust. More information here.
Authorities say an AK 47, six ghost guns and 10 other firearms were among the weapons seized. Nearly a kilogram of cocaine, crack-cocaine, heroin and fentanyl were recovered in the bust, according to state police.
Darryl Patterson, James Turner, Joel K. Gadsen, Roy Brown, Willie Mcleod, Morgan Secret, Tiffany Rosa-Smaha and Joseph Stegall were remanded to Orange County Jail, police say. The remaining suspects were released on their own recognizance.
