Police say a minor has been arrested for posting violent messages on social media that threatened students and staff at Highland Middle School in Ulster County.

Town of Lloyd police say they received reports about the incident in Highland last week.

After an investigation with district officials, police were able to locate the individual responsible.

Police say they arrested the 13-year-old on Monday and charged him with making a threat of mass harm.
