A 14-year-old suffered a broken leg after police say a vehicle struck him Friday afternoon in Yonkers.

Detectives say it happened at the intersection of Alder and Spruce streets around 2:30 p.m.

The boy ran into traffic, according to investigators.

The driver had a learner's permit and was issued a summons for not having a licensed driver in the vehicle.
